How to earn Super Hardware Builder status — the requirement to qualify for Outpost.

Becoming a Super Hardware Builder

To qualify for Outpost, you’ll need to get Super Hardware Builder status!

You can get Super Hardware Builder status by sharing the projects you’ve finshed building! The main question we ask ourselves when reviewing is whether or not your projects would be interesting to share! Here’s some examples

Yes No
2-4 smaller projects A single hackpad
Custom 3D printer A generic RP2040 devboard
Wacky Keyboard generic drone (you can’t fly this!)

You don’t necessarily need a lot of projects, nor do you need insanely complex projects - a lot of smaller ones or one, really cool one works as well!

The general rule of thumb though is to have cool things to share! Made a keyboard with wacky buttons? Awesome! Have a ton of different projects? That works too.

If you’re stuck for ideas I recommend checking this recap of Open Sauce and seeing what people made!
